National Trails Day at the Carolina Thread Trail

When: Saturday, June 4

Cost: FREE

Celebrate the importance of trails, nature, and physical activity in this annual event that includes guided nature and history walks, bike tours, kayaking, music, and more. For more information check out the Carolina Thread Trail website.

RunCharlotte Summer Track Series

When: Every Tuesday in June (5 Weeks) – 6:00 p.m.

Cost: Adults $45 (or $12 for single week), Students $35 (or $10 for single week), Kids 10 & Under FREE

Mt. Holly Mile Open Water Race

When: Saturday, July 9

Cost: $55

The second race in the 2022 Charlotte Open Water Swim Series, this one mile out-and-back course at the Mt. Holly Boat Landing is perfect for those who are new to open water swimming or just looking for a shorter race. Check out the Charlotte Open Water Facebook page to learn more.

Aqua Rock Deep Water Solo Climbing Competition

When: Saturday, July 16

Cost: $35

Rock climbing enthusiasts of all levels can take on this free climb challenge over a 20 foot deep pool at the Whitewater Center. Registration and scheduling information is available at the Whitewater Center website.

Amphibious Duathlon

When: Saturday, August 6 – 8:00 a.m.

Cost: $45

Another unique event at the Whitewater center, this race consists of two 5K trail runs sandwiching a 2K paddle on the Catawba River. Check out the Whitewater Center website for race information and registration.
