Labor Day Weekend Kayaking

When: Saturday, September 4 – 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Cost: $25

Hosted by Aquatic Adventures, enjoy 90 minutes of paddling along the scenic Catawba River. Rental includes kayak, paddles, and life jacket and no experience is required. Food and beverages available on site. Click here for more information and to reserve your spot.

Sunset Yoga at Veronét Vineyards & Winery

When: Sunday, September 12 – 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Cost: $15

Enjoy a stunning sunset over the vineyard as you’re guided through one hour of relaxing flows and stretches by a certified yoga instructor. Tickets can be purchased here, and price includes a glass of wine after the class.

Blue Blaze Hiking Club – Latta Nature Preserve

When: Saturday, September 25 – 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Cost: FREE

Join the Blue Blaze Hiking Club on a 5.4-mile hike along the Latta Plantation Trail. This moderate hike is suitable for all ages and dogs are welcome too! Afterwards head to the Blue Blaze taproom for a drink and food from a local food truck. Registration for this free event can be found here.

Charlotte Open Water Championships

When: Saturday, October 9 – 8:00 a.m.

Cost: 2-mile race $50; 800-yard fun swim $25

The third and final event in the 2021 Charlotte Open Water Swim Series. This event includes a 2-mile loop course for more serious competitors or an 800-yard close-to-shore swim for beginners. Check out the Charlotte Open Water Facebook page to learn more.

CLT Runway 5K

When: Saturday, October 23 – 7:30 a.m.

Cost: $35

For the first time in its 14-year history the Runway 5K will take place entirely on the runway and taxiways of the Charlotte Douglass International Airport. During the race participants will get to see planes queuing up, taking off, and landing. Registration is limited to the first 1500 participants so make sure you reserve your spot today!
